Corvette Z06 Convertible Launched At New York Auto Show 2014

The time for new Corvette Z06 Convertible has arrived. Not only is it the top model to order from dealerships at this time, it is also a true star of the New York Auto Show 2014.

The Corvette Z06 Convertible runs on 6.2-liters LT4 V8 with supercharging delivering 625 hp and 645 lb-ft torque. It works on direct injection with special timing of valves and Active Fuel Management, precisely like its siblings Z06 and Corvette Stingray.

According to Chevrolet the curb weight of the new car is almost the same as for the coupe. The most important difference between Corvette Z06 Convertible and C6 Z06 Coupe is in the stiffness of the aluminum frame: the new car has 20% better one than the old model. The opening of the roof is possible for the speeds below 50 km/h.
