Great news for all Saleen supercar lovers – it is due to come out in two years
It will be a continuation of company’s last big success S7 but merged with S5S Raptor concept project.
Steve Saleen, the CEO and founder of Saleen is sharing some new information about his supercar.
In an interview for Motor Trend Saleen revealed that this model will continue the S5S Raptor concept and it will come out within two years. The fans of this supercar already know that the S5S Raptor concept car was previewed in 2008 but due to business moves its developer made, it wasn’t finished.
For now there aren’t any news about the power of the new model but the S5S Raptor had a mid-mounted 5.0- liter V-8 supercharged to 650 hp (480 kW) and 630 lb-ft (853 Nm) torque. That gave the car the acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and the top speed was more than 200 mph (321 km/h).

We don’t know what Saleen is planning for the final horsepower but we know that it will be in the likes of Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren MP4-12C, so it will be at least 600 hp.
The original S5S Raptor was expected to go on sale in 2010 for the base price of $185,000 (€138,110) but this new model will be significantly updated and upgraded so we guess that will influence the price, too.
