Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Drifting on Ice

Saint Moritz was a host of Aston Martin on Ice this year when Aston Martin V12 Vantage S painted in blue came and drove on the track in a style of a professional skier. He gets all curves, slopes and ice, drives and brakes sideways and offers a lot of material which makes this interesting clip watchable many times. The car runs on Aston Martin’s fifth generation 5.9-liters V12 engine of type AM28 with natural aspiration delivering 565 hp, which is 55 hp more than Aston Martin V12 Vantage and same as 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish.

As for the torque, 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S has 457 lb-ft, which is 37 lb-ft more than traditional V12 Vantage. The transmission features seven speeds and automated manual inherited from V8 Vantage. The V12 Vantage has paddle shifters mounted on steering wheel and will be sold only with them. The manual transmission with six speeds will be saved for V12 Vantage only. The expectations are that 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S will accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4 seconds and reach maximum speed of 205 mph. The One-77 is thus the only vehicle faster than 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S on a straight track.
